On the other hand, graphene has acquired so many superlatives to its name that people started calling it a wonder material. I will discuss how this research started and, then, try to explain why graphene attracts so much attention these days. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meeting Location: Tate Laboratory of Physics 116 Church Street S.E. University of Minnesota East Bank Minneapolis, MN 55455 The closest parking ramps are the Church Street ramp, a block to the north or the Washington Ave. ramp to the east. 05/03/2013 Dusk CDT	LLCC: Star Party @ Long Lake Conservation Center LLCC Star Party The agreement between LLCC and the Minnesota Astronomical Society allows MAS members (and their immediate family members) to use LLCC facilities and grounds for astronomical observing on scheduled weekends. With the exception of the Northern Nights StarFest, held in September, events held at LLCC are not open to the public. Only MAS members and their immediate family members are authorized to attend scheduled events. For additional information concerning the use of LLCC, visit the MAS website at http://www.mnastro.org/facilities/llcc.htm Note: We will be sharing the facility with other groups. The Virgo Cluster is a cluster of galaxies in the constellation Virgo. Comprising approximately 1300 (and possibly up to 2000) member galaxies The cluster forms the heart of the larger Virgo Supercluster, of which the Local Group is an outlying member.
