Member Orientation_0982Scheduled several times a year, the MAS Membership Coordinator, Steve Emert,  hosts an orientation presentation and discussion for new & prospective members  and a refresher for anyone else who wishes to come.

This presentation gives an overview of all the Minnesota Astronomical Society has to offer and has wealth of information for the new member.  Learn more about  the MAS observing sites, the equipment, and affiliated locations and organizations.  We will talk about the Benefits of Membership in the MAS –  Special Interest Groups, Outreach Opportunities, Discussion Forums,  Mail Lists, Meetings,  Star Parties,  Annual Events and more.


Pre-registration is not required.

New MAS members (and existing members wishing for a refresher) are invited to the MAS Member Orientation meeting which will be held in the Hopkins Library meeting room at 22 11th Ave N
Hopkins, MN 55343

The meeting will begin at 1:00 PM and run until approximately 3:00.

We will provide an overview of the organization and leadership of the MAS, provide an introduction to all of the observing sites, and review the benefits available to MAS members.  We will cover star parties, public observing nights, meetings and more.
