[edit] Welcome to the Onan Observatory Documentation and Training Wiki!
Hello, and welcome to the documentation and training Wiki for the Minnesota Astronomical Society's Onan Observatory. The observatory is a state of the art facility with a wide variety of equipment for:
- Outreach and education
- Visual observing
- Imaging
- Research
Using the observatory and operating its equipment can be daunting, not only for new users, but for seasoned vets as well. This Wiki provides all observatory users with the information needed to safely use the facility and its equipment, and to maximize the benefit of that use:
- If you are new to the observatory a good place to begin your journey of exploration is the article titled Introduction to the Onan Observatory.
- If you are interested in becoming an observatory keyholder, start with the article titled Training Syllabus: Basic.
- Experienced keyholders looking for manuals and other guides and references can access the table of contents for this material via Operating Manuals.
If you know the name of the specific article you desire, enter its name in the search box to the left and click on the [Go] button. You can also enter a keyword or two and click on the [Search] button to list all articles matching your criteria.
