SUMMARY:BSIG Beginner's Observing Session at Metcalf Field - CANCELLED
DESCRIPTION:After taking one last look at the forecasts this morning\, nothing has changed for tonight. I’m going to cancel the event for tonight. It’s possible that we might have some clouds breaks during the night\, but transparency just doesn’t look good enough.\n \nWe’ve scheduled another event for Saturday July 8th\, at 8:00pm at Metcalf Field. \n \nWe hope you can make it!\nMAS Metcalf Observing Field \nThere is no charge to attend a beginner event\, and you do not need to be an MAS member to attend — everyone is welcome!! The purpose is to help beginners learn the night sky\, and how to set up and use a telescope. Volunteers from the MAS will be on hand to answer your questions. \nIf you have a telescope\, feel free to bring it. If you need help with learning how to set up and use it\, we are happy to help! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n If you haven’t been to Metcalf Field\, it can be a little difficult to locate the entrance. So please arrive in daylight. \nThe BSIG Coordinator will make the final Go/No Go call on the evening of Thursday before the event\, based on the weather forecast.
