Beautiful, conversational, friendly, accessible, big sky, easy walking at night, Pershing Park.
Every culture, every people, nation, and tribe, for all of human time, since before history, has discovered and created Art & Science in the sky. We all live under One Sky. Astronomy cancels racism, division and hate.
Three-part astronomy event: View Sun, Astro class, View Planets. ART & SCIENCE in the Sky.
7 to 8 PM, View Sun. Solar prominences, Sun stories and legends.
8 to 9 PM, Astro class: constellations, star wheels, phone apps, diverse sky legends. Free card stock Star Wheels.
9 to 10 PM. Telescopes: Moon, Jupiter, Jupiter’s moons, Venus, star clusters. Space missions. More sky stories.
Come to 1, 2, or all 3. Event continues clear or cloudy.
If cloudy, at 7 PM Beginner’s Astronomy Class.
