Topic: Objects in the Heavens
Peter Birren is retired from his graphic and marketing design business of 45 years. He moved a few years ago from under the monster light dome of Chicago to the Bortle 4 skies of Kentucky. He is a self-taught cosmic voyeur – assembling and creating his book, “Objects in the Heavens”, became his classroom. After years of hang gliding and camping out in the country, the night sky became a real draw, so the curiosity grew and developed into the book. OITH eventually came into being to answer the question of “What is it, where is it and can I actually see it?”
Peter’s talk involves his journey into astronomy and he will share with us a couple of discoveries he’s made. Questions will be allowed at any time during and after the presentation.
COVID-19 PROTOCOL: Masks are welcome, but not required at the Monthly Meeting. Reminder if you are feeling ill or have been around someone who has been ill, PLEASE STAY HOME!!
